On the Border by the Sea . . .

For all I know, that phrase is copywritten and I'm not supposed to use it . . . though that seems like it would be something of a stretch for the city of Brownsville. I'm still in south Texas, on the border, by the sea. For the last week or so I've been trying to focus all of my efforts in getting CO into some sort of respectable format. I've done considerable amount of work on the site, and feel that I've worked out a good deal of the behind the scenes/ back of house concepts that need to have been worked out, now the challenge is to produce. Until the site is something useful to people its just a good idea. One of the reasons that the progress has been slow is that I've been dividing my time between the web-site and looking for employment.

Well, I'm at the point where I feel that my chances of doing the latter are going to be greatly increased if I just sit down for as long as it takes and develop the site to a place where I feel it can sort of stand on its own and start generating its own sort of momentum (with me along to either push it uphill or keep it on the rails). I know that CO is a good idea, and there have been plenty of individuals that have offered words of encouragement and support and that have validated the idea, but there's lots of leg work to be done before its anything resembling my vision. So that's what I'm up to. I'm putting the job search "on hold" for a brief while to devote myself overtime to Coastopolis. If all goes well (which I'm learning in the world of web development it never does) I'll have something that more closely resembles a "beta" sometime soon.

. . . and with any luck I'll find some time to take advantage of the beauty that is south Texas, here's a quick video of a recent trip to Boca Chica beach . . .
